Good Bye!

Hello Followers and Fellow Poets,

Mad About has finally run its course. Since there isn’t much to share at the moment as my pen seems to run out of ink and my inspiration left me, I’ve decided to close this blog.

On a good note, I’m not done with my writing poems so if you’re still interested in my works, you can always follow me at The Elusive Scribe.

Thank you for taking the time in visiting my blog. I appreciate all the feedback and likes. 🙂

Hope to hear from you soon!

An Inspiring Award

We all need some inspiration to fuel us through the day and receiving the Very Inspiring Blogger Award is just one of those things that make me love writing even more. My gratitude goes out to Ms. Kimberly who nominated me for this award. I am deeply touched that you find my works inspiring and I can’t thank you enough for giving me a reason to put my thoughts into words even more.

Inspiring!

Inspiring!

The Rules are as follows:

1. Display the award logo on your blog.
2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
3. State 7 things about yourself.
4. Nominate 15 other bloggers for this award and link to them.
5. Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the award’s requirements.

Here are a few things about me:

1. I am drawn to the beauty of flames. They are quite mesmerizing and I somehow feel that they draw all the stress, worries, pains and hurts that I feel. This is one of the reasons why I always light a candle at night even for a few minutes just to stare at its flame.

2. I am a Neil Gaiman fan. Ever since I read American Gods I simply fell in love with the way he writes and how amazing his mind works. My goal is to buy all of his works and let my future kids (if ever) read them.

3. I am a nerd.

4. I am a very quiet person. I am not really into big crowds. I’d rather spend my time outside gazing at the stars or climb a tree or just be with someone whom I can spend the day without needing to talk that much but yet find contentment with each others presence.

5. I am a bookworm. I’m always in the lookout for great authors to read and include in my growing library.

6. I am the youngest in a family of 7 and my siblings are simply the best people in the world for me. Whenever we’re together our house is just filled with noise because we would spend the entire day playing, chatting and eating. I miss those days.

7. I am nothing without those who inspire me to be who I am.

On to the nominees then. 🙂

Catching Rainbows

Catching rainbows on the palms of her hand,
with feet immersed in the cold, cold waters,
with the current tugging at her toes,
tickling her with such childish delight.

Her laughter reaching the silent skies,
when her palms ended up with a profusion of colors,
fingers all stretched out like a painter’s brush,
painting the world with all the colors of the rainbow.

Writing Letters

Love Letters. This is one habit that I intend to pick up again. After all, it wouldn’t hurt to make someone special feel really important, right? Have you tried writing a love letter lately? As in really write it down using pen and paper and not typing on your keyboard and sending it through email?

I think many have forgotten the power of writing manually. Even when your penmanship sucks it doesn’t mean that your letter will lose its power. Every letter you put together, every word you string together will always create magic in the eyes of the reader, especially if the one reading it means the whole damn world to you.

So, what are you waiting for? It has been ages since you’ve written someone a letter so why not start now? Send someone a love letter today and see the wonders of touching someone’s heart.

Sunshine and Moonbeam

Who would have thought that there will come a time when I will be collaborating with one of the best artists I’ve ever known. Dear followers, it is official. I have a blog that I’ve set up with my older sister who is truly a gifted person and what we want to achieve here is to give you a source of inspiration.

Sunshine and Moonbeam, as we call our blog, represents the two sides of us. I am the day and she is the night. And by combining our love for writing and the arts we figured that we can work together as a team to bring some form of inspiration to our readers. This blog will represent the positive things we’ve learned along this journey called life and other nuggets of gold we’ve picked up along the way.

So, if you have the time to take a peek at our new blog, please do so. We’ll greatly appreciate your effort and the time it took you to read our works. 🙂 Feel free to leave a bit of yourself too because your comments will be our source of inspiration too.

Here’s my sister’s poem for your enjoyment: Perfect.

Much love to everyone!
